In life, one can experience very painful situations that can lead us to question God and why He allowed those things to happen.
Brothers and sisters, we need to take an honest look at ourselves and ask if what we’re going through is because of our own decisions.
God does not want us to live with shame, guilt, or regret, however when we can come to the place where we acknowledge our wrongs and learn from them, God can then step in and turn our situation around (even if it is our fault).
In 2 Samuel chapters 11 & 12, King David committed adultery with another man’s wife and she became pregnant. The child died as a result of David’s sin, however, God forgave David and blessed him with another son after he repented. (This son was Solomon who grew to be a great king.)
Are you going through some hard times due to bad decisions you made? Don’t blame God for your situation. Instead, humble yourself and come before Him in prayer so He can help you.
Proverbs 19:3 NIV
A person’s own folly leads to their ruin, yet their heart rages against the LORD.
Psalm 145:8 KJV
The LORD is gracious, and full of compassion; slow to anger, and of great mercy.
