Romans 12:18: If it be possible, as much as lieth in you, live peaceably with all men. (KJV)
One of the things that has challenged me in my walk with Christ, is doing good to others when I feel wronged or mistreated in a situation.
The Bible says we should live at peace with others as much as it depends on us. That means doing everything we can on our end to have a peaceful relationship with that person. At times this means responding kindly when another person is coming off rude. Or being selfless when another person seems to just be about getting their own way. Or deciding to forgive someone when they haven’t even apologized for their wrong. While it can be hard at times, the Bible says the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace by those who make peace (James 3:18). That means when we seek peace with others, we are sowing seeds of righteousness that will bear the fruit of Christ’s character in our lives.
