In Matthew 14:22-33, the Lord called Peter to walk on water, but when he saw the wind he became afraid and began to sink.
Matthew 14:31 says:
Immediately Jesus reached out his hand and caught him. “You of little faith,” he said, “why did you doubt?” (NIV)
There are a lot of disheartening, uncertain events happening in the world around us. Rather than giving way to fear though, we need to trust God to sustain us.
Jesus said in John 16:33:
“I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.” (NIV)
