One of the tactics the devil loves is to use the people around us to distract us spiritually. This could be through creating arguments, causing irritation, hurt, or opposition to God’s will for our lives.

Ephesians 6:12 says:
For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.

When we’re spiritually alert, the Holy Spirit will help us recognize when the enemy is working through someone so that we pray and not fall for the trap. The devil can also work through a person’s natural weaknesses, so we should pray for others in those areas in which they fall short.

The devil wants us to fight or place blame on people, but let’s be wise believers and fight satan instead!

1 Peter 5:9 NIV
Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour. Resist him, standing firm in the faith, because you know that the family of believers throughout the world is undergoing the same kind of sufferings.
