In the book of Hosea, the Lord instructs the prophet to marry a prostitute. Their marriage served as an illustration of God’s relationship with His people.

In spite of a person’s unfaithfulness to God, He is able to forgive, restore and use that person mightily if they repent.

God not only sees how a person acts now, but He also sees the future potential of what they can be through Christ.

When someone repents, God forgives and forgets the past and we should too. Let’s make sure we don’t hold something against a person when God has already forgotten it.

2 Corinthians 5:17 NLT
This means that anyone who belongs to Christ has become a new person. The old life is gone; a new life has begun!
