2 Chronicles 7:13-14 NIV
“When I shut up the heavens so that there is no rain, or command locusts to devour the land or send a plague among my people, if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.
When The Lord is angry with a person or nation He can cause bad things to happen to get their attention. The whole point of doing that is so the person or group of people will turn away from the sin they are doing. What we should know about God’s character, is He’s very merciful and willing to forgive. That’s why despite any situation we face due to our sin, we should repent and call on Jesus. If we will turn to Him in repentance, He will forgive us and turn the situation around for our good.
