While at the airport, I overheard an attendant calling names for a flight. A man who was supposed to be on the plane never showed up, so they called his name and announced there would be no more chance for entry once the gates closed.
This made me think about heaven. Jesus is also calling many people to repentance and a relationship with Himself. They are supposed to be serving Him, but they have not boarded their spiritual flight.
The scary thing is, unlike a missed flight, missing Jesus’ call has eternal consequences. If life ends suddenly, there will be no more chance for repentance.
Have you drifted from Christ? Has He been nudging your heart to come back to Him?
Don’t delay answering Jesus’ call. Life is short, and none of us knows how much time we truly have left.
