One of the things I like about my job is that my boss is willing to get almost any necessary work supplies I request to complete my job. Whenever I send a list of supplies that are needed, everything I ask for is given to me and in a timely fashion. So when it comes to doing my job, I don’t have any excuse because I have everything I need to accomplish it and produce good results.
This is how it is in our walk with Christ. Jesus has supplied everything that we need to be successful in our relationship with Him. If there is something that we lack, we can make our request to Jesus through prayer and/or fasting and He will supply it. This is why when a person stands before Christ to give an account for his or her life, no excuse will stand as to why he or she couldn’t follow Jesus and live by His Word.
Jesus sacrificed His body and shed His blood to save us from our sins if we turn to Him in repentance. He has given us His Word, the Bible, to instruct us in how to walk in relationship with Him. He has given us His Holy Spirit to give us power over sin, guidance for our daily life, and comfort for difficult or painful circumstances. Also, He has given us the ability to pray to Him regarding anything we need or are going through.
If there is a difficulty you have been using as an excuse not to follow Christ or obey His Word, you can bring it to Jesus in prayer and/or fasting so that He can help you. Don’t let it keep you in disobedience to God any longer.
