Did you know that the things that you do or don’t have are not the measure of Jesus’ love for you? God showed how much He loves us when Jesus died on the cross for our sins. Next time you see someone else blessed and wonder if God loves them more, remember He died for every person and loves them all equally. The Bible says that God does not show favoritism (Romans 2:12). Some people however, have a closer relationship with Jesus than others because they choose to prioritize their relationship with Him. Also, God gives some blessings to certain Christians because of their level of obedience. (Disobedience can delay God from fulfilling some things He may want to do for you.)
We can’t make Jesus love us more, but we can get closer to Him by spending more time with Him and living by His Word. Closeness to God is not only about our prayer life, but our obedience too!
