In Jeremiah 23, God addressed the Jewish prophets who turned away from God and misled people by speaking falsely in His name.
Jeremiah 23:21-22 says:
I did not send these prophets, yet they have run with their message; I did not speak to them, yet they have prophesied. But if they had stood in my council, they would have proclaimed my words to my people and would have turned them from their evil ways and from their evil deeds. (NIV)
Don’t follow someone just because you felt goosebumps during service or they appear to have prophetic gifts. That is how great deception will overtake people in these last days (Matt. 24:24).
A true prophet will address any sin in your life and turn you to God!
Isaiah 29:13 NIV
