When God began pointing out my sins, I started to get overwhelmed. I thought to myself, “It’s always something! I just can’t be perfect.” Well, Jesus wasn’t expecting me to be. What I didn’t understand at the time is God revealed my sin/weaknesses so that I would bring it to Him in prayer and fasting. Often though, instead of seeking God about my faults I turned to self-pity and discouragement.
Whatever sins/weakness God is convicting you about, know that it’s because Jesus has a plan to help you. However, you can only receive the help when you seek Him about those sins/weaknesses.
Hebrews 12:11
“Now no chastening seems to be joyful for the present, but painful; nevertheless, afterward it yields the peaceable fruit of righteousness to those who have been trained by it.”
