In the book of Daniel a number of Jews were taken into Babylonian captivity from Judah, however, Daniel and his three friends are the only Jews the Bible mentions taking a stand against the ungodly influences of Babylon.

If we want to be Christians who go deeper with God and live an uncompromising life, we will be a minority. Other Christians may not always support our convictions. Sometimes we may feel left out or misunderstood because we chose to do what’s right, but in the end, we’ll be doing what pleases God.

I want to encourage you today to be a Christian who will not compromise. Even if you’re the only one standing by what’s right, don’t be discouraged. God is by your side, and He will protect you and reward you for staying true to Him.

‭‭Daniel‬ ‭3:8-12‬ ‭NIV‬‬
At this time some astrologers came forward and denounced the Jews. They said to King Nebuchadnezzar, “May the king live forever! Your Majesty has issued a decree that everyone who hears the sound of the horn, flute, zither, lyre, harp, pipe and all kinds of music must fall down and worship the image of gold, and that whoever does not fall down and worship will be thrown into a blazing furnace.

But there are some Jews whom you have set over the affairs of the province of Babylon—Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego—who pay no attention to you, Your Majesty. They neither serve your gods nor worship the image of gold you have set up.”
