A common objection I hear is that if the Bible was written by people, then how can it be trusted?

2 Peter‬ ‭1:20-21 says:
Above all, you must understand that no prophecy of Scripture came about by the prophet’s own interpretation of things. For prophecy never had its origin in the human will, but prophets, though human, spoke from God as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit. ‭‭(‬NIV‬‬)

The prophets who wrote down scripture only wrote what the Holy Spirit told them to write. These words came from God, and that’s why we can believe and trust what the Bible says!

Mathew 4:4 NIV
Jesus answered, “It is written: ‘Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.’”

2 Timothy 3:16-17 NIV
All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.
