Psalm 92:6-7 NIV
Senseless people do not know, fools do not understand, that though the wicked spring up like grass and all evildoers flourish, they will be destroyed forever.
One thing Jesus taught me is that Christians should never admire people of the world, because unless they repent and turn to Christ they are going to hell. God may allow them to have some worldly success because He is kind to all people (Luke 6:35), but without Jesus the things people desire to achieve only leave them empty. True riches are found in the Kingdom of God.
If you struggle in this area, you can repent and pray that Jesus will help you not to love the things of this world, but instead to give you a burning love for Him.
Mark 8:36 KJV
For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?
Proverbs 11:4 NIV
Wealth is worthless in the day of wrath, but righteousness delivers from death.
